I am thinkin about getting an 05 super duty. I have a semi small budget, so I was thinking about getting an xl. The only major difference I have noticed between that and the xlt or even a lariat is the interior.
I was wondering if I got an xl, does anyone know if all the sd's come wired for electrity(power) to the chairs, so I could upgrade to a set of lariat or king ranch captians chairs and rear bench. I am guessing no xl has use for the power, but if I upgrade seats I need to know if the wiring exists so I can hook up my power seats that will probably have seat heaters.
I would put this in the interior thread, but it is more of a super duty specific mechanical question.
Thanks
Oh and my Dad has the 2008 king ranch f250, theres nothing like that truck, we love it.
Well there will be power to the seats already for the seat belt detector, may be able to just plug into that harness with the upgraded seats then add fuses in the designated spots in the fuse box and then you might be have the power/heated seats functioning.
i actually just installed power seats in my truck which is XL and i couldnt find any power to run the seats i didnt even get a hot at the seatbelt dinger plug but its easy to just run a power and ground to the seat motor... but make sure to run a fuse also... but it isnt plug and play like i had wished
