Nice looking job, but 1 question, when you fully box a frame, doesn't that take away needed flexability?

I would imagine that stiffen things up pretty good. But it seams to work on modern day pickups since all of the half tons except Toyota have boxed frames. That seams to work now so I would think it could work on 40 plus year old technology too.

By the way nice job on the boxed frame! Looks good.

thanks guys,

the reason for the boxing is because flex is the enemy. This is going to be a pre-runner that will be seeing speeds over 100mph through the desert. It will have a very healthy 390 that will also be very relaible, in the ballpark of 550hp and 600 TQ. It will also have a full 2" DOM cage and chassis. Built to save a life in any event.

Will the suspension take most of the flex before it gets to the frame?

Garbz, I'm not sure if I want to go as far as to Box the Frame of my Truck!
Not to mention that my wallet prolly cant afford that!
And me having NO welding skillz other than Oxy Gas welding will make it Impossable.
But I still would like the look of a Pre Runner Truck.

Looks to me that GMR is building that truck to Beat the Hell out of the Roads! Not the other way around
