driver seat locks up
hey guys, 04 Expy Eddie Bauer. my wife drives it the most. she can park the truck and then the driver seat backs up. when she gets back in, it wont go back up. up and down works fine but it gets stuck all the way back. i've removed the motor and bench tested it, it's fine. i found a quick fix for it, but it doesn't last. i push down on the floorboard with my feet and lean back real hard. at the same time i hit the switch to go forward and it'll go up. a few days go by and it gets stuck again. i also hosed the tracks down with lithium grease, no go, still gets stuck. any ideas what could be wrong. it's hard to see the screw mechanism in there, i can't see what's going on. anybody have any tips????

reason I ask is my 04 had the same prob intermittently a couple yrs ago. only fix i had was to shift my 230 lbs around back and forth a few times and it would go again. My wife didn't have the...um ...sufficient weight to get it to go. It must be something in the way the seat sits in tracks that keeps it from getting started. I don't have a real 'fix' but only offer hope---mine hasn't gotten stuck again for about two or three years now and I never did anything mechanical. we still adjust evry time we swap drivers so maybe its finally getting 'broken in'.
