Where do you live on the WB? I'd offer up some help but I'm heading out of town for work in the AM. Does that Superchips programmer you have do diagnostic code readings? If so check it. Can it do a CCT (cylinder contribution test)? If so , do it and let us know the readings. From your symptoms I'm thinking an injector o-ring maybe? Is there fuel in the oil?

thanks for the info i live in terrytown
the superchip reads codes but there arent any codes so thats why i was looking for a shop to bring it to so that they can figure it out
i will check and see if there is fuel in the oil

Rob, also check your 9 pin harness connectors on the outside of the valvecovers, and make sure thy're seated.

Any oil or fuel in the valley of the motor?

Actually you can buy the software for your laptop. Its called AutoEnginuity. ITP diesel(and some other sponsors) carry it. The trick is learning to read what the software is telling you.
Danny Elmore is over in Slidell, He hangs out on PSN(Powerstroke Nation user name IMELMO), but knows his stuff about a PSD.

Rob,

Roy's shop can hook it up for you too. I'm not sure of his labor rate. Have you checked the connection under the valve covers themselves?

I'd go with whatever he recommends. If you want to spend the money for piece of mind that's up to you.

He just called and told me mine is ready. It's the white C/C 2wd that's in there.

I just picked his brain about all kind of stuff and he seems to know his stuff. I had him do the trans, new up-pipes and pedestal o-rings. His pricing is very fair and he actually told me he'd have the trans done by tomorrow, but he ended up having everything done by earlier today.

He even went as far as to say to stick another engine in it if it should ever die. He doesn't like the 6.0's and he said the jury is still out on the 6.4's. He told me to keep the 7.3 and stick some 4" exhaust on there. He said that's the best mod you can do for power.

muddie,

Any updates yet? I'm completely satisfied with mine. Shifts like a dream and has more power to boot since he fixed my exhaust leaks.
