this would also be true for the columbus, ne market.. reason for it is there isn't as much supply around here where as Omaha has 1,000's of homes sitting empty or for sale. here you only have maybe 50-100 homes on the market. i ran into the problem a few months ago when i was looking to buy.. so i went out of town to a small town and got a nice house for way less than what people were paying 10 miles in town! (and my garage is HUGE! fit 5 cars - but back half is now full finished "MAN CAVE" and front is shop/ 2 car parking)

The house we found in Nebraska (it's in Dakota City) has a four car garage and a beautiful 15 x 30 inground pool. The problem is, everything around it is so much smaller. And there is a vacant lot across the street that has a bunch of junk on it. It's been for sale for 6 months, and they've come down $30K, but it's still about $80K higher than anything else in the vicinity.

Hows everybody doing tonight? Been working on the house trying to get everything ready for Cruise Nite. Hope I get everything done but I am afraid frame on the 56 may not be done by July 19 and I go in for Shoulder surgery on August 5 so I will be done doing everything for up to 4 months after that.
