Hub upgrade or downgrade?

Hello all, first i would like to give huge thanks to texasoutlaw for GIVING me free needle bearings however turns out my problems go deeper than that. Im in need of new hubs. I have an Early 99 f250 psd and i hear that the 99.5 is an upgrade? and cheaper to buy. is this correct and if so do i need any modifications. Also can anyone suggest a place to purchase or is one place as good as the next?

Replacing the brakes, brake caliper mount, and both hubs are in order to get to a 99.5+style setup.

Wow, so the cheaper hubs in the long run really wont save me any money if i have to replace everything else.

Well, when you get brakes, you will also need to spec. early 99 IIRC, and those are also more money also. I would look for a junkyard in your area and call about 2 caliper mount brackets, and then just replace with new brakes. Then your front end should be good to go.

Specify sorry, after I re-read that it sounded kinda awkward. The brakes are different on the early 99 also, so if it was me, I would swap everything over from an 99.5+ setup, just for ease of installation later on down the road.
