adding factory navigation?

I want to add a navigation unit to my 2007 expedition but i prefer to go OEM to keep all rear dvd controls and subwoofer. The dealership told me that it was impossible to do. I am not sure whether to believe him or not because he was rude and not very helpful after he asked and I told him that I bought it a different dealership. Is it possible or do I need to go aftermarket now. Thanks.

Not sure, but I believe the NAV system is only an option on EB, Limited & King Ranch.

Not avail on XLT...

What model do you have?

The OEM Nav is not too hot. Used units can be had on Ebay for $600-$1200. You need to install the gps antenna, and with a E.B, Limited, etc. should plug right in. Not sure about the XLT-does that come with a sub woofer?

Is this a compatible part number? I know that this works in F150's but will it work on expeditions also? Sorry for the ignorance but this is my first ford so i am not too knowledgeable about compatibility.

We bought our 2007 Navigator used back in February with out factory navigation. We liked the navigation in the first one we drove so much we had them add it to the one we bought. We needed the HD towing package and the first one we drove did not have it.

I have the factory NAV in my 07 Limited. It is awful. Will consistently give you bad directions.
I have a Garmin Nuvi that I use in my SuperDuty. It is great. Save your money and stick a Nuvi on your windshield when you need a NAV.

I agree. Fords navigation system is insulting for the price you pay. With portable units getting so cheap, it doesn't make sense to go another route.

I have the Garmin 260. I don't even have to place it on the dash / windshield. It works great sitting on the console.

you can go a/m like i did. my rear dvd still works, as well as my steering wheel controls. radio model in sig. it is a lot more expandable, and easier to use imo, as i had oem navigation beforehand.

To the right of my rear view mirror you can see my Magellan 3225. Costco special. Works great.
