And I'm betting the license plate will read 20698B
Actually, the plate on the panel is suppose to be 20698C. I have the trucks registered as a collector vehicles. When you do that in Wisconsin the owner is assigned a collector number, mine being 20698. My F-2 was my first collector vehicle so the plate number was just 20698. I had a '49 F-1 that was assigned the A plate, then I had a '69 Pontiac ragtop that was assigned the B plate. When I went to register the panel truck I asked if I could use the A plate since I had gotten rid of the F-1 many years ago, the guy at the DMV said I could so I filled out the paper work, got the new registration, entering the A plate number, and bolted plate to the panel. About a month and half later the C plate showed up in the mail. I just haven't gotten around to bolting on the correct plate yet.
BTW, collector plates in Wisconsin are pretty good. There is only a one time fee and they never expire. There are a few restrictions, the vehicle has to be 20 years or older, stock (Although I have seen '57 Ch**ys with narrowed rear ends and blowers, not stock as far as I know), you can't drive during a couple of months in the winter, you must have a daily driver registered at the regular rate and if it's a truck you can only carry 500 pounds. Other than that there are no restrictions on miles or where you can drive.
