I found a decent used set for my rear springs on another forum. Got the front springs at JC Whitney, US made,....new with bushings already pressed in. Got the other bushings, pins ,lock pins, U bolts ect at Dennis Carpenters. In hindsight I should have just got new rear's as well. I couldn't locate a spring shop locally that would do anything but try to get me to order new springs from them,... at a lot more than I could buy them myself.

You might try asking a spring shop.
You may have to take measurments of yours, but I would assume they would be able to tell you what would fit. They may even have some they took off of something for a lift or drop. You might price some to they may be cheaper then you think.

I have not found a spring shop locally but will be looking. JC Whitney sounds like a good possibility.

Try this link for JC Whitneyhttp://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/VehicleBrowse?tmplframe=VehicleBrowse&storeId=1010 1&showCustom=0&N=111%2B1952%2B200005338&catalogId= 10614
They where best price and with the bushings already in and U.S made you got to go with them. Mid Fifty sells individual leafs but I couldn't get any where with them since I was early 50's. They hooked me up with thier supplier but I couldn't make the $$$ work to justify the effort of rebuilding my old ones. Also,...if you can, try to catch the FREE SHIPPING SPECIALS Whitney has a lot. Look over thier page for it. They almost allways offer it. I hear its not a good idea to re-use the U bolts,....if you want to add them to the DC order.

Thanks. I can't take credit for it. I bought this truck in 2004 and it was already painted, about a 15 year old paint job now. Still looks pretty good, especially if you stand back 10 feet.
I have an 8 inch out of a 69 mustang with stock rear springs. I have had a slight vibration since I have had the truck. It appears that I have a slightly warped axle flange which may have lead to the spring failure. Three cracked leafs on the side with the warped flange.

Thanks for the input. I drive the truck pretty hard, about 12,000 miles a year in support of my real estate business. The road construction projects can be hard on things as well. The 302 dynos at 306 hp which is significantly stronger than the original flat head. All things added up, things break.
I will check with a speed shop I do business with tomorrow. I'm sure they have a spring shop in mind for their race customers.
