I had to spend some time on the old HONEY TO DO LIST. We had the driveway paved in the end of April. When that was done i had to install the pavers for the front walkway and bring in more topsoil and landscape the place. Well all is done so i could spend time on my cab. Take a look theres more in the gallery, look under bodywork part 2. Thanks for looking!

Nice work my friend. I am wondering though, what is that extra hole in the floor by the cross rib, I've never seen that on any of the 53-56's I've encountered, is it from a larger F model?
Very nice work.. (cheating to use a lift to hold your work!)..
where did you find such a nice lower floor section for parts?
Tell me more about the rust removal with the battery charger..
I am starting repair on the 54 shortly.. front & rear corners, one piece of fllor pan and one door sill.

What lift, i see no lift, LOL this is why i built my house was so i could put in a lift. Boy does this thing make life easy.Get one yourself and see! I paid 800.00, its a Rotary 7000# cable under.
I bought the whole floor section from a guy at the All Ford show at Carlise close to 5 yrs ago. Paid 200.00 for it.
The rust removal with the washing soda and battery charger worked great just set it up and let it do its thing.

I know that i have a cover for them both. I know one is for the brake master under floor. The other one dont know? Maybe someone else can say what it is?
Nice work. I have a 56 that needs all 4 corners and the front floor pcs. I have all the patch panels, just waiting for a free chance to get to it. It helps to see what direction some one else starts from to develop a plan, thanks for sharing.
After going back and looking at your gallery I bet you could have braced your cab like you did and cut off the bottom of your cab to match your repair section and saved a lot of time. I know this is an afterthought but I was looking at what a good job you were doing welding your outer panels and thinking you would have just welded around both rear cab corners and of course there would have been more in the front but not much more than you already had to do there. Then it would have saved the time of all the patching in the rockers and such. I wish I had a section like that for mine. Please don't take this the wrong way because you are doing a nice job, I was just thinking out loud of another option with a repair section like that.
