fuel injector job
#2
To get the best access to the injectors under the manifold and the wires for them you will need to remove the upper part of the intake manifold. This will make it go easier and quicker to get the job done. You can get a new upper intake gasket and one for the fuel rail at most parts stores or even from the dealer for not much money. You'll also need to get a small torx socket for the upper intake bolts along with the torque value for them. If you remove the fuel rail from the injectors, you'll need to use new seals on the injectors because the old ones will be easier break when putting them back in. New ones are fairly cheap. When installing the new seals use a small amount of engine oil on each one to make it easier to slide on the injector and into the hole in the lower manifold and the fuel rail. Clean out all the dirt and junk in and around each hole so the new seal can have a clean surface so seal against. If any injector wires got chewed up maybe you can find some good ones from a wrecking yard.
