hi, can anyone please tell me the amp rating on a 4,2 f150 1997 alternator as i cannot find it in my workshop manual. thanks in advance. bokker.

 

I think it's either a 95amp or 130amp.

I'll try and check my window sticker from the '05. I think the alternator is listed and I think there are 2 diff alternators depeneding on whether or not you got the "heavy duty" package (or whatever it's called).


edit to add: I checked. Mine does have the 130 amp alternator.
