What a shame.
I always thought he was at his funniest when he and Tim Conway would break each other up on the Carol Burnett Show.
Uncontrolled laughter. A smart aleck (sp??) comment ad-libbed at the perfect moment.
That, my friends. . . was comedy.
God Bless You, Harvey Korman. May you rest in peace. . . with a smile.

Between Tim Conway and Harvey Korman,
The 1 scene where Harvey lost big time was on The Carol Burnett Show,
They were playing 2 Japanese Submarine Operators going to Pearl Harbor.
Conway was on the parascope(sp) And Harvey was the Captain. Harvey went to the map on the wall and started to tell Tim what ship was what, Then he told Tim "This Is The U.S.S. MAZDA!" Tim went into his adlibing and said,,, "Mazda, The 1 That Goes HHHHUUUUUMMMMMM?" Harvey lost it! He could not finish the skit!

Their interaction was so often funnier than the actual material.
I remeber a dentist (Korman the dentist; Conway the patient) sketch-not the details, but the fact that HK was laughing so hard.
It was a style of comedy that was so wholesome and so hilarious at the same time. I doubt I will ever see anything like it again.

Absolute comedic genius. He and Tim Conway, as so many have said, were brilliant together. I remeber seeing an interview with Tim talking about how it was always his goal to crack up Harvey in a skit - he said it was always a matter of when, not if - so true - great improvisers. He will be missed.

Yes. Harvey Korman and the like 'were' comic geniuses.
Unlike most of the current comedians, they didn't need to use foul language
to make people laugh.
Go to a comedy club, and with almost every comedian, every other word is *****************.
Like I said, with the old comedians, it was pure comedic talent.

After years of seeing him play on the Burnett Show, it was difficult to ever take him seriously in any other kinds of semi non-comic roles.
Did anyone catch him (in a very small part) as the President of the USA in that Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, “Jingle All the Way”? My kids were wondering why I started to laugh the instant he opened his mouth…..and he said something serious too!!!
He is likely deeply missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his work.
Those Burnett Shows will go down in history as one of the greatest comedy shows to make it to TV. I will always remember staying up late on those Saturday nights to see what that crew was going to pitch at us and to hear what the audience had ready for questions to Carol.
