very quite indeed. I've been doing some reading on this and other sites about rebuilding 351M/400 or swapping in a 460. It's definitely a fine line depending what the end goals are. It also sounds though that a nice rebuild to 400 specs with a 4barrel, nice heads, and a cam is the way to go.
Anyone have any thoughts on that?
I'm going to go ahead and swap in a stock 460 and save my 351m in the shed in case I want to go the route of building it into a 400 someday. I expect to only be out minimal dollars for the purchase of the engine hoist and gasket sets. I already have to replace my exhaust, so I'm not counting that against the swap.

You can then get parts for the 351M as you go.
