how about a '75 f250 highboy crewcab that needs engine and tranny. I have an fe that will fit as original with an attached c-6 that is proper for the application....also a c-6 that is in the truck but not operable.

shortbed is in bad shape....cab is pretty sweet ie no rust in the drip rails...a bit here and there. 1600.00. 531-0283

Cool

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post8122967

Don't drive it much anymore. I got an older one that will still pull the trailer and do everything this one does, except it doesn't cost me near as much per month. It was paid off the day I bought it.

That's the only reason.

Just to clarify as to why this ad is so specific as to the motor change, parts, and transmission that are in the truck. The quote if from the 99-03 7.3 diesel sub-forum with my respone that clarifies below. If anybody has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!!

I sent your ad and explanations to my stepdad who's looking for a diesel and I've been trying to get him away from Government Motors. He already replied and said no to your ad. He said you should rewrite your ad and remove some of the details. He said just by reading the ad, he knows it was modified, thus in his mind wailed on and put back to near stock. He said to throw it on Ebay.
Thanks Jason. The ad I listed here and on a couple of other diesel forums is intended to be read by people like yourself that probably already knew it was modded and taken back to stock. Not only that but the people on these forums know the difference between pmr and forged rods, what headstuds do for a motor, etc, etc. To the people on these forums that know me and the truck, they know that it was not wailed on. I modded it to use the power safely and without breaking.

As for the "average Joe" that hasn't been on the forums to see or hear what's been done (or can be done) to trucks like this one, the ad is very much different. For those people, here is the craiglslist ad I posted.

2002 F350 Lariat Crew Cab 4x4 Dually Diesel

In it is mentions nothing about the motor swap, forged rods, headstuds, 400+ hp, BTS, chips or anything. I figure the "average Joe" won't care nor understand what any of that is and like your stepdad, shy away.

To them, they just want a stock truck and would probably think that most of us that mod are trucks are dumb. "Why fix it if it ain't broke?" - That's what I hear all the time from my friends and family that don't understand it.

Why not get yours rebuilt. Mines do too. Also, I am looking for a used 400 to rebuild if anyone has one or is doing a 460 swap.

Looking for an E4OD for a 96 powerstroke 4x4

Hello fellow Montanans! I'm in desperate need of a E4OD auto transmission for my 96 7.3 powerstroke 4x4. Hansers in Billings offers rebuilt ones for $1200, but I hear a lot of bad about them. So, looking for one that is either used or rebuilt by someone that knows the quality. Thanks.

2001 F250 SD V10

I'm selling my 2001 Ford F250 superduty. Its dark blue metallic on the exterior, with a medium blue cloth interior. Inside is in very good condition with minimal issues. It has the extended cab with doors on both sides for the back seat. CD and cassett stereo, power windows, locks, mirrors, tinted windows, etc. Towing package with receiver hitch and brake commander. Currently it has 33" BFG tires and chrome rims on it, upgraded projector headlights, and euro tails, as well as chrome nerf bars and a diamond plate tool box. Asking $9190 as is or I'll drop the price to $8000 without the rims, headlights, tails, and tool box. Tires will remain the same though. You can see it in Soda or text me at 208 five four zero 1649 or email me at drjaredshelton at yahoo. I'm usually pretty busy, so leave me a massage and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Reason for sale is I bought an 04 Powerstroke.
