Oil pump
Remove the air intake tube from the throttle body, the distributor, the tranny dipstick (if auto). Jack it up put it on stands, drain the oil and remove the filter. Remove the engine mount nuts, (unless 2WD)disconnect the muffler inlet pipes. Detach the oil cooler bracket and lower it out of the way (if equipped). Detach the front stabilizer bar and move it forward out of the way. Place a jack under the engine Raise the engine place 2x4 blocks between the engine mounts and brackets and lower the jack. Disconnect the oil level sensor electrical connector (if equipped). Remove the oul pan mounting bolts. Lower the pan to the frame. On 4x4 reach into the oil pan and remove the oil pump, crankcase baffle and pick up tube attaching bolts. Lower the oil pump, crankcase baffle and pick up tube into the oil pan. On 2wd remove the oil pump, crankcase baffle and pick up tube attaching bolts and remove the pump and tube.
This is all from Haynes manual, Chiltons says do the same thing if you choose to actually do this might I suggest spending the $14 on the manual and good luck, let us know how it turns out. I have read on here about dropping the front end. Don't know if that is acutally easier of not.
