I have a few flatheads v8s, 48-53. One came with the crossover in the front and manifolds with provisions for the crossover and one output for a single exhaust. The other had manifolds that has only one output, so I put a dual exhaust on it. Which is the original set up, and how can I get another set of the manifolds with the one output?

The make of the vehicle that the manifolds came off of is needed to figure this out as a larger truck used the crossover in front or vice versa ( I could find out from a mechanic here in Canada and get back to you tomorrow )

 

My Dads 53 Ford had the cross over, look liked the ones on a lot of 54-57 Fords had.

 

I have a '46 1/2 ton with a '49 engine. It has the single outlets on each manifold and uses a conventional crossover pipe. I have to earlier engines (early-mid forties and the manifolds are a different shape (bends). I have some excellent pictures of the installed if you want them. I will need some help from the "boss" to download them. Hope this helps...Joshua
