Plans for Dry wash?

Does anyone have plans for a dry wash system that they would share? Seems like the most common used is Magnesol. Our processor is a 50 gallon water heater, so should be doing about 35 gallon batches.

thanks

I don't really have "plans" but it is much less complicated than water washing.

All you need to do is mix in the magnesol GENTLY ( no pump mixing) for about 30 min, and filter it out, or let it settle overnight, then siphon the bio off the top.

If you remove the excess Methanol first it only needs 1% magnesol by weight. If not it will require 2%.

i just ordered a bag of magnesol. It took 8 gallons of water to cleanly wash my last 4 gallon batch and I couldn't imagine using water for 40 gallons. my processor is almost complete.

I started waterwashing at first, but it didn't take me long to switch to Magnesol! Waterwashing is a PITA...........Buy the testing I've had done, Magnesol produces a much better quality fuel.

Fabman,

What about diaphragam pumps for mixing? Check out this pump.

I use a diaphragm pump to force the bio/Magnesol mix through the filter setup, but haven't tried it for mixing since I have a 75 gallon mechanical mix tank that I use for my processor. It was set up so all I had to do was flip a switch on the control panel and I could use it for the processor or mixing the magnesol.

I think it would work, just haven't tried it out
