Well 5 days ago I paid 4.54 at Go Mart in Nutter Fort.
Every other place around is 20 to 40 cents higher.
Off Road fuel is over 4.00 a gallon now.
I was just talking to a guy from Ground Breakers, the excavator he is running over on the Corridor H job is burning 200 gallons every 10 hour shift.
Wanna pay to run that puppy at 1600 a day for fuel alone.

[QUOTE=Dave Sponaugle;6180013]Just looked this evening, 4.799 in Nutter Fort at Speedway.
We got a load of stone from Greer today.
Jack Casto delivered, when he was on the way to Greer the fuel price was 4.55, on the way back it was 4.85 at the same station.
I don't remember where that was though.[/QUO

Gas at the Marathon in Ripley shot up from $3.95 to $4.21 for regular Thursday but the surrounding stations went to $3.99 and stayed so they came back down Friday. My wife called and told me about the raise so I took our Excursion out and paid $3.99. I got $70.00 and brought it up to a little over half a tank. These prices make it hard to fill the 44 gallon tank. The 03 V10 X does get better mileage than my 96 F250 4x4 Crew with the 460 V8 though (12mpg/10mpg). I recently bought the X to pull my father-in-laws 24' camper out to Yellowstone this year and haul my family and the in-laws more comfortably. At current prices I am looking at $2400.00 for gas for the trip. That means I will have to work all the overtime I can get to pay for it now. This is what put me in the office today. Maybe after the initial high prices of the season play out prices will stablize and come down. Oops, sorry I guess I must have been dreaming on the last comment.

Maybe the big shots at Marathon were wanting to do a little gouging!

I asked the girl where I bought the gas in Cottageville for $3.99 when they were going to raise their prices and she told me that they were just waiting for the call and that she heard that it was $4.22 in Parkersburg. They evidently never got the call though because last night it was still at $3.99 for regular. I did notice in Silverton off I77 it was at $4.19 at the Marathon & BP but the Exxon was $4.09. Looks like the only thing we got going for us is the competition. I crossed the river at Ravenswood to the check the prices at the station on RT 33 and it was $3.99. That was better than the $4.09 in Ravenswood but the same as Millwood, Cottageville, and Ripley.
