Unhappy electrical issues

I'm having an issue with the altinator not charging the battery. The battery and altinator and regulator are new so i dont understand why the powers not getting to the battery to charge it. The battery and altinator have been tested and work. Any help would be appreciated, im in the Enid Ok area so if ur a local maybe u could look at it and help me out?

I have had bad alternators test good because the kids working the counters don't know what they are doing. Make sure they put the alternator under a load when they test it.

Also make sure that you have good connections at the solenoid and positive battery post.

yeah i have done all the above and still no good charging. I think it might be a fuseable link but i dont know where the one is that runs between the battery and altinator.

How are you checking the charging of the alternator? And if you think there is a problem with the wiring then run a wire from the alternator to the battery.

once i had that problem, after i changed the alt and reg, it stopped charging...i had to put a capasiter (sp?) on the regulator....i noticed my 78 had this thing on it but my 76 didnt....i just swapped it over and it has worked fine since...if your regulator dont already have one, there will be a yellow wire that isnt hooked up on the regulator, thats what it hooks to....i hope this helps....
