well, went and got it at noon today. it drove good for a bit. then started slipping in drive just cruising! i took it back, and told them that i wanted my money back. explained all my griefs. they saaid i'd have to go to court for that. he claimed it died on him going down the road, due to TPS. but, the only DTC is a 1728, trans slip. he wanted one more chance. i told him to get it right or go to court, so he is hiring the trans guy from ford to come oversee the building, and help trouble-shoot.i told him if it wasnt fixed right, court is ahead, and BBB. he swears electrical issue.

Superchip says the tuner MAY NOT BE COMPATABLE with my trans build, due to TC, Valve body, ect, and it may not be safe to run. YES!!!! TW here i come!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the chip will have no effect on the trans build, it is no different than adding the same stuff to the trans on stock programming. but definatly use it as an excuse for a tw.

if he claims the tps is bad then ask him why the code isnt in the processor, and if he still claims that the tps is bad then get him to sign an agreement that if you purchase a new tps and it doesnt fix the problem then you get a new tranny, not his hack job unit.

what did he do to "repair" the trans this time? did he even tell you? this guy is a real hackjob, you need to just get away from him, have him send it to the dealer with him footing the bill.

well, they know if its not fixed this time, they WILL go to court. ford is bringing down the computer, and trying to find the problem. but, his code reader shuts the truck off when he trys to read the codes. he took it over to another powerstroke, and it ran the whole time. as soon as he hits the button to scan codes, the truck is deader than a nail. flat out kills it. he says that tells him its electrical. i said all it means is he has a piece of crap scanner, cause he couldnt even pull the code for bad CPS. my superchip did.

This is not going to end well.
The slip code comes from a mis match of motor RPM and VSS sig.
In the E4OD it only will see this match while in OD. The 4R100 has the input sensor for watching slip.

Keep the tuner out until all is good. This way there is no way to pass the buck.

You have to keep this in mind also. To build a good E4 you will spend 2K in parts alone.

If it goes towards the suit thing. I would have a fully documented tare down photo/vids and all. I would tell the builder this is what he forces me to do. All costs will be on him.

well, he thinks its in the TC. hes gonna put a CVC brand TC in it, see if that fixes it. the guy from ford said that my truck was a solid electronically as a new one. he checked everything. he gets this one try, then court.

So did he blame the warpage on the tuner? If so he is nuts. The warpage is either from stress or heat

Its the builders own fault!
After all is cleaned up the deck is the very first thing checked!
Vb will warp before the deck do to smaller area and also has to be checked and possible flycut.

One thing i have learned from BS builders is they open a trans and when they find the first thing wrong with it they fix it then start to close the unit back up.
They get what they got comming to them!

Bull Chit
Heat or Overheating causes metal to warp.
