Had to laugh

My neighbor just got a GMC 2500 and lifted it. So I go over there and check it out. The thing is so weak looking everywhere, especially the tierods. Those thing look like there from a 1/2 ton. Seriously the Ford will stomp that thing into pieces. Just thought I would let you guys know not to buy GMC.

GM does use small tie rod ends..my neighbor got one a few months back and after we looked it over and compared it to my 05 SuperDuty..he says..I shoulda bought a Ford..UM..DUH..no kiddin!

I also do a lot of 4 wheeling with my other Ford. When GM came out with the H2 a lot of people that would wheel them were breaking the tie rod ends cuz they were soo small..weak spot on a over priced piece of JUNK.

When will chevy learn that IFS just doesnt cut it on these trucks?

The H2 is just an obese tahoe. Same weak axles and suspension. They were made for mall cruisin on dubs not doing real work.

My next truck will be a Chevy 3500 Dmax...I know a lot of people that use them very hard and just love them. I am harder than average on trucks as well, and if anything goes wrong, I'll let everyone know.

Ya it needs a cognito kit, or tierod sleeves. It'll be fine, it still beats replacing fords joints.

They may be weak in the half ton form, but most people use chevy one ton tie rod ends when upgrading stock steering. Just food for thought.....
