Chris Craft marine Y motor
Hullo gents, first time visitor here. Nice board. I have been gifted a '62 Chris Craft 19' and am parting it out. On pulling the motor it seems to be a Y block indeed. It is a C2AE block (which I take to be a 292) but has an ECZ-B on the intake manifold (which I take to be a 312). it is a 4 barrel with some sort of ancient Holley and is marinized by Interceptor. All kinds on of neat oil coolers for the transmission and such. Can anyone help with any ID without me cracking it open? I'd like to market it as a whole or parts but am not sure of value (if any) . I have pics I can email to individuals if wanted. thanks, Steve

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-Dec-02 AT 05:47 PM (EST)]That intake could have been factory stock on a 272/292/312 1957-64. The block casting is for a 62 292 and could have been in a Ford, Merc or truck.
Where are you located? Im always interested in a good block, etc.

Thanks Carl.. I checked the heads and they are the 5752-113 heads. Probably some sort of ancient hot-rodding business. I am in Northern Illinois and have the whole motor on ebay now, but if it doesnt move I'm going to part it all out. feel free to email olds_steve(No Email Addresses In Posts!). Thanks, Steve
