Arrow Professional vehicle radio restoration

I just got the original radio to a '66 comet but it is ROUGH. I had to soak it in WD-40 just to get the tuner to move. It moves free now but the pre-set buttons are still frozen. All the circuits look ok from what I can tell. I have'nt not connected it to electricity yet due to it still being wet from wd-40.

I was wondering if anyone here knew of a reputable restoration shop that is not unbelivable with the price.

Thanks guys.

Grab a copy of "Hemmings Motor News". Theres all kinds of ads for all kinds of old car stuff in there. It is a great help when your looking for oddball stuff or services. Check it out!

radio restoration is gonna cost you upwards of $300 for the stock am radio. a much better alternative is to get a custom autosound am/fm/cd from autokrafters or dennis carpenterfor around $300, and you will have a radio you can listen to.

Check out the ford fairlane forum. It has a section for comets and a 'wanted" section and for sale section for all sorts of vintage parts for fords and mercurys .You may find an original is great shape.
