Cool Att: 3/4 car Haulers in L.A / Anaheim

There's a COP, in a dodge truck from the city of Placentia. It's not a Commercial truck, it just looks like one. That guy has been writing tickets for everybody, even a flat bed.
He, stays right at Orangethorp and Melrose off the 57 freeway. "No trucks on Melrose". After he stops you, he tells you to follow him to a "SCALE", it's not a Police or CHP certified scale. It's from a metal Company, right at Kraemer ave.
Then, after you have your truck weighted he comes and tell how much it weights, without showing any paper to prove. and wrote a 18.000 pounds over the weight to me. LOL, when at the time a had 2 honda civic's and 1 mazda 3. How smart is he. Fight that ticket you bet. I've never got problems w/ CHP. Now, that local COP is trying to change the Law. I was never over the weight. If hauling 2 Elefants maybe yes. .

Lets say the truck weights 5,000 the cars weight 3500 each so 10,500. That means your trailer was around 3,000. Does that sound right? That leaves you at 18,500

Oh wait I didn't read that right, what is the weight limit? That's just not right. The weight limit must be 5lbs.

Well, by Law. A F-350 Dually and the trailer that I have a Take 3 , with a load, is legal up to 26.000 pounds. I know that because, I went to the DMV and spoke w/ guy that does the inspection on all the commercial trucks. I ask him if I need to display that square sticker on my door indicating the gross weight ratio. Then, he told me that i do not have because it's a pickup truck w/ the bed , if you remove the bed yes you have to buy that sticker, and it's not cheap. Then he also told me, unless the Law changes, pickup trucks still don't go to the scales.

You should be good, that set up should not even be more than 20,000. There is plenty of space between 20,000 and 28,000.
