Trying to find out which vehicle this air box is from

I am modifying my jeep and need to replace my stock airbox with this stock ford airbox

I need the canister portion and that elbow, the horizontal piece is part of the stock jeep 4.0 intake

any knowledge would held a lot , or if you have an extra one I need it

Welcome to the forum

The canister is either a 97-03 F series truck or it could be from a Windstar. My 96 had one like that.
Not sure on the elbow, looks like a Ford IAT sensor in it though. Maybe a Ranger/Explorer.

Cowl induction eh?

I'd prefer one without a sensor in the elbow.

I have an ARB snorkel now, I don't like it, I hit a lot of trees with it. I want to switch over to the H1 mushroom cap style snorkel head coming out of my cowl because I am doing highline fenders
Here is what the fenders were like before, just a regular old jeep on 35s

I am still working on it but you get the idea with this picture

basically I cut a section out of the hood and mounted the fenders higher in the front, the back I mounted the flares higher and cut away some of the wheel well

some random pics

here is a step by step of what I have done so far if anyone cares

That god awful clip around the air box is the same that my '97 5.4L had but the rest is a bit different from what I remember. The actual round air box also looks to be the same. If it has some holding clips on the bottom it probably is.

Not to bad for a Jeep! Hopefully everything comes out the way you want it to.

Take a look around the parking lot at your work...someone should be able to pop their hood and let you take a peek. The airbox looks smaller than the one on our F150's...The Windstar's doesn't have the elbow, and neither does the Ranger's.

Take the picture to your Ford dealership and ask a couple of the mechanics...
