Atc Switch Defective?

just noticed that my auto temperature control switch has a 16 degree setting, then 19 degrees, but no 17 or 18. So is this thing broken or did FORD give us this as a free feature? What if 16 is too cold and 19 is too warm?

Celsius, right? Mine, running the Fahrenheit scale, jumps from 60 to 65 and then again from 85 to 90 I believe. I guess they figure they covered the range of "normal" comfort and put the low and high settings in as a full cold and full hot setting.

Yes, it is Celsius...zero degrees is freezing, 100 boiling and everything else is in between.
Canada changed over in the 70's; makes more sense when you think about it, but was a pita to get used to after having learned Fahrenheit in school.

Fahrenheit is much more adjustable than celcius degrees. 25 celcius is 77f, and 27 celcius is 80.6f...That's 3.6 degrees/f in 2 degrees celcius. Our money system is metric...lol
