5.4 no power @ high RPM

Hi, new to the forums, looks like a good place to be
I have a relatively simple question that I just want confirmed before I buy a replacement part.
2005 F-250 Super Duty, 5.4 gas.
My truck falls on its face when going into passing gear, it actually slows down. I've got 3 engine codes P0191 fuel rail pressure, P0171 bank 1 too lean and P0174 bank 2 too lean.
The truck is also hard to start after re-fueling, but starts like a champ any other time.
I changed the fuel filter and nothing changed, so I'm assuming a fuel pump. Now, before I go out and buy a new fuel pump I figured I'd check to make sure it's not something else that would make me say "D'OH" after changing the pump.
Another question would be where to buy a fair priced fuel pump
Thanks

You need to drive it with a fuel pressure gauge hooked up. Either the filter is clogged or the pump is weak.

Do you have a K&N filter, my 04 250 5.4L ran like crap because of an MAF sensor problem. It had the second two codes you mentioned, just at thought of something else to check.

f250gasser- was your truck hard to start to when you had the K&N?

It was a little, my MAF wasn't that bad. I just noticed the lack of power/mileage that the truck had at one time. The ford performance shop I took it to said they see it happen alot from over oiling the filter when its cleaned.

it sounds like a fuel pump to me. if you have a scanner you can see your fuel pressure on the data list. if it is low and you already changed the filter, then that would be the next logical step. low fuel pressure will cause the lean codes too.

I'd also suspect the fuel pump. Do you happen to run the truck way low on fuel before you refuel it?

no power at mid and high rpm

I have the same problem, same codes. The fuel pump and filter was changed last year. my scanner said change the o2 sensers after the converters. So I gutted the converters and changed the 2 o2 sensers,It still runs like crap.

Hmm...my 04' F250 5.4 gas truck runs like **** now too. It was badazz when I got it...now it falls flat on its face when I stomp it. I already changed the fuel filter and exhaust manifold gaskets to get rid of exhaust leaks which was probably making a rich condition (I am planning on an exhaust system with my tax return...any suggestions?? Magnaflow??). It has a stock replacement K&N filter....I just blow it out with air...I never oil the stupid thing, as I know what MAF sensors cost! LOL Anyhow...it still runs ****ty. I need to get my dad to put his Snap On Solus Pro scanner on it and see what the hey is wrong. I have big power plans for this thing...as I am a drag racer, and want my tow vehicle to to haul the car and haul AZZ!! I don't want my dads 2000 Chevy Silverado to beat this thing ANOTHER DAY!! Its making my mad! Any suggestions of what else to check?
