This was asked earlier, I dont think you can with out dealer reprograming, other wise what would stop somebody from taking a dash with 10,000 mi on it and putting it into a truck with say 98,000 miles!

Also, I don't think a cluster from a lariat will work because of the mileage computer in it. But, I think you could put a cluster from a XLT or a FX4 in your truck.

From what I have read about doing this is. Some dealers are willing to do it and others have no idea what you are talking about. I have also read that some dealers won't even touch it unless you buy the cluster from them. That being said if you get a cluster and swap out when you get to the correct mileage it will still need to be programmed, because there are function that won't work without being programmed like the A/C. This is what I have learned from searching this subject. Hope it helps.
