Question Going to dealer...

Well I'm taking my truck to the dealer tomorrow for the A/C. Anywho, I still have the ever annoying throttle hesitation. I was wondering if I should tell them about it and see if they'll reflash the computer. The truck is still under warranty, so my main question is would I need to pay for the reflash or would it be covered under warrenty?

I've never heard of anyone under warranty complaining of hesitation and having to pay for a reflash. That should be an immediate "no problem" from the dealer.

Thats what I thought, it is just that drive by wire hesitation and from what I've read they've changed the programming to eliminate or at least make it less noticable.

04/05's have been reflashed to conform to the 06 PCM programming. I haven't heard of a 06 getting reflashed with 07+ programming though.

if it works, give us a holler.

Well I just talked to the service advisor, she informed me that they checked the truck for drivability issues and they found that the #4 coil was intermittently misfiring, so they replaced it and reflashed the computer. I cant wait to get it back to see how different it drives. I was surprised when she said the coil was misfiring as there was no CEL and it seemed fine. They are still looking into the A/C issue.

Well got my truck back, the A/C had a leak at the service valve I guess you could say, on the low side and the freon was low. They replaced the o-rings on the compressor and the hose on the low side to the manifold. They also reflashed the computer. The truck drives very similar, but it has no hesitation anymore especially when at highway speeds when downshifting. Much better, hopefully my mileage will go up a little since the misfire is fixed.
