Jason......I'm not much help with finding a place to live, but I hope your friend has DEEP pockets. Santa Fe has INSANE housing costs. Most expensive in all of NM for sure. My city here in AZ is in the same boat....outrageous housing costs, but it's worth it for me

 

I'm in Albuquerque, I try not to go to Santa Fe but when I have to I grab plastic from the safe! Way to expensive just an hour away! I won't even take work up there anymore.
Might be a good plan to call a couple of realtors up that way

 

I just stopped by to see how it was going in that part of the country but could not pass up saying I do not even consider stepping out the door without some weight on the belt for several decades.
I do like visiting that entire area but cost is getting a bit on the silly side. Too many west coasters causing that problem I believe.
