SUPERCHARGER for a 351W. Anyone do this?
My apologies for getting sidetracked. Anyway, a supercharger is a good way to boost your hp and torque, and some say it is the most economical way. I do believe you would need to convert to mass air to reap the benefits of a supercharger tho.

i,ve got the vortech s-trim on my 89 f150 302 its the same kit for the 351 the boys are right you have to convert to mass air. the hardest parts are zapping off the power steering pulley ( you better get the tool) and making sure you put it back on flush with the pump shaft. secondly contrary to what vortech says the 2:1 throttle body adapter that hooks to the supercharger outlet to the throttle body does not fit without careful trimming of that piece. my motor was completely stock and they told me that this piece fits fine. i offered to fly them out to northern ill. where i live to prove it but they declined. i even tried 1/2 inch and 1 inch phoenolic upper manifold spacer(from bbk) with no luck the closest i got was the 1/2 inch manifold spacer and had to trim 3/8 off that little 2 to 1 throttle body adapter. of course i first trimmed too much and had to buy another one of those blasted things for $75 also the is no room for a bypass valve. hypertech is down the street from my house and they,re working on a different adapter for me because i,m running a 13psi pulley and have got to get my bypass valve on there. sorry to ramble but i,m new on this site and figured i,d put my two cents in. ot
