So WHY! Ford use boxed frame now ? -http://www.trucktrend.com/news/1509-five-hard-working-features-of-the-2017-ford-f-series-super-duty/

Once these trucks passed 7,000 lbs they should have upgraded the frame. Neighbor has a 2017 and it feels like it's on rails, these new frames are a game changer.

Wait a minute. So the 2017 Super Duty frame is 23X stiffer than the previous generation Super Duty, and the Chevy HD frame is 30X stiffer than the previous generation Super Duty? Did I read that right?
What PSI steel does Ford use in the Super Duty frame now? I know the Chevy HD uses 60k and the Ram uses 50k, can't find out what the Ford uses.

Not sure but i recall it to be 50.000. Anyways the Ford frame ist bigger general dimensions of the rails:
Cheyv 215x88x4.5mm
Ford 240x89x4.7mm
Since the height of the frame is the most important part, i guess the Ford frame is quite a bit stronger now.
But i wonder when Dodge will follow this? 2018?

I really don't like this "frame war" that manufacturers are in. I believe these ultra stiff frames are the cause of highway shake/vibrations you hear about on forums (Ram especially)
C-channels also don't hold water, dirt, and mud inside to rust out, and C-channels give us DIY mechanics access to, and a place to run new lines, etc... And yes, frame flex is a good thing.
