I've got a bunk room...but my girls are older...
There are some nights though when I come in from the campfire I could use a device to keep ME from falling out of bed!
But I digress...I remember when our kids first started sleeping out of the crip...you could buy these bed sides that slipped under the mattress...perhaps you could get a couple of those under the mattress and since the bunk mattresses are not very heavy...you may need to use pipe brackets (the 1/2 circle flat stock that goes around the pipe and screws to a wall?) to fasten them to the bed frame with a few small screws?
Something like this...Amazon.com: bed rail
Just a thought...
joe.

thanks for the ideas guys! i like the shower rod idea because its should be fairly strong and is not permenant.
joe: we have that bed side that your talking about but its a pain to get set up i'm just kind of tired dealing with it. plus my two boys (age 2 and 4 ) are like little monkeys they would have that ruined in minutes.
also my bottom bunks fold up so i cant have anything blocking my storage door, but i think i will try the shower rod first.
spinella:i also thought it was strange not having something there to keep anyone from falling out of the beds and no ladders, i see the point about the liability.
well thanks for the ideas guys, and any more ideas would be great.
thanks, chris
