Exclamation f150 clutch engages high? what does this mean?

The clutch engages high and will slip under heavy acceleration. It has a hydraulic clutch. It's a 1989 f150 straight 6. Is there any adjustment for the clutch? Does this mean I need a new clutch?

Nope, there is no adjustment to a hydro clutch. How many miles on the truck?

The system may just need to be bled. And check the linkage under the dash it can come loose. But most likely the clutch is gone and will need to be replaced.

Good Luck
