Remember to aim them after you are done.

Also welcome to FTE

I would suggest getting a drill with a screwdriver bit in it. There are alot of screws to take out.

Welcome aboard, gald to have you on the ranger forum, you will gain alot of friendships and advice here. Also won't be long before your helping others. I've had 6 rangers and the only one that I ever had to change a head light in was my 84. If I remember correctly, it just had one of those square retaining rings, you on screw that and it let the head light fall out. My 04 you just reached in behind the head light and twist the bulb socket and just take the bulb out.

On my '02 (and was the same on my '97 F150), you slip up the two flat bars behind each light (from above in engine compartment). On my '02 you remove a small plastic panel first (2 screws). The lights just come out (may fall out, so watch it!)
