MPG's vs HP/TRQ
#107
I would have to think that even with the emissions (crap) you could still get 27-30 mpg with great power. one thing that I have noticed is that when the 7.3 was winning over loyal FORD guys it was not putting out 400 hp so why are they getting out of control with the power stuff? FORD just needs to put in a "small" diesel in the F150 and it would sell like hotcakes. just my .02 worth
in my opinion "small" would be 200-250 hp with 400-450 ftlbs trq you could even shrink those numbers to get better mpg and durability.

I hope you don't mind. I used your quote as one of my FB quotes and put it in my sig on another forum. You couldn't have said it better, sir. That is exactly what the government wants, and all it is is a huge ploy to make money. Global Warming? Yeah, right, and Al Gore also created the internet, didn't he.
