My Favorite Truck is Back

First off, I'd like to say hello. This is my first post and think I'd enjoy this forum.

4 years ago I got married and decided I didn't have enough bills so I traded in my (paid off) car and got a 1996 Ford F-150 XL longbed. Aside from some minor jealosy by my wife at the way my eyes would glaze over when thinking about the truck there were no problems.

I dedided to go back to college and after deciding not to do student loans it didn't take long for bills to start racking up. My wifes father than came to me and said "I'd like to help you out, why don't I take the truck off your hands (there might have been an alterior motive) and I'll just take the payments over and save ya'll some money) it was a great thing for him to do and we were very thankful and it helped us out grately.

I tell you that story to tell you this. 4 years later (yesterday) my father in law shows up at my house (4 hour drive) and says to me...

"I brought you the truck back, it's paid off now, it's yours"

To say the least right now, I'm still beside myself,
CT

I had to write a math assessment to get into the aircraft mechanics course I'm taking, depending on my grade I either had to do 2 years or 3. I ended up doing well enough to only have to take two. My mom then paid off the remainder of what I owed (3 g's), needless to say. I was ecstatic.

Not trying to steal your glory, I'm happy for ya.

Congrats! Your father-in-law is a generous man. If you think it made you feel good to get it back, guess how good it made him feel to give it back to you? Maybe some day you'll have the joy of the other side as well.

Sounds like your father-in-law saw the movie "Pay it Forward."
