How to make your 08 mirrors move correctly
#31
Ok, I just saw that too. So I'm good lol But the reason I have not put them on is because I am in Texas working and I am from S.C. Plus I am working 7 days a week right
now. I will put them on and wire them later. I am getting messed up with all the ways to do it. DOES anyone have a write up on a simple but correct way. One guy says it's simple but how do 7 wires go into 3?

Sorry but I don't have access to get you the info right now since I'm on my phone but you will have to run extra wires for the marker lights and turn signals, heat. I can probably find you the info by the time you get home to hook them up. Or maybe someone else wil be along. I hooked my heat to a separate switch and the wires for turn and markers are in the dash.

some of these posts dont say what year mirrors are going on what year truck, so i have a question. I have a 2000 F250 and i want to put 08 mirrors on, but besides reversing the wires for correct operation of the mirror, are there more wires that need to be run to operate turn signals on mirrors?

Check post #5 for the link to the wiring instructions I used to install and wire the mirrors on my truck. It's been a while now since I did all the research on stalling them so I can't say for certain if your truck will be identical to mine, but I'd guess it will be.

I bought a pair of DEDC 08+ mirrors off of amazon. I put them on my 03 Excursion. The wires were different colors on the off brand mirror. I was forced to troubleshoot which was which. I somhow got the mirrors to work correctly without having to dig into them and flip the wires on the servos. So I know its possible from the connector. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RVFOLWK

Well, your mirrors must have been OEM's and mine weren't...I did find the yel, grn, red wires, but with yel/red swapped, my L/R became Up/Down and Up/Down became L/R...Swapped yel/grn and things got worse...Ended up with red/grn swapped and everything worked - L brought it in, R took it out, Up went Up and Down went down...
Also on my mirrors, 1) the motors were on the 'cab' side of the assy, not the grille side of the assy, and 2) the heater was hard-wired, i.e. no connector...At least if it falls off, the wires will hold it until I can get stopped...I might have been able to do this at the door also, but I was already 'torn apart' anyway...
Instructions were great and my issues were not due to your hard work/info getting the info altogether...Thanks for posting them...
