It depends on the heads. The later heads (anything after a D3) arent great for performance but as long as its carb'd then you should be fine. The fuelie heads bring the big suck. It will probably have a D9 block which is a bonus because of the stronger alloy and potentially capable to be bored .100 over (yes .100 over not .010) wiith very few cooling issues. In stock form that engine should make somewhere in the 250-260 hp 375tq range.
Real good platform for a future build

so an 86, would that be a D9 block? Is there a stamp on the heads? I'm a newb when it comes to motors, other than the basics.

That's it there's too many April b-days, so Happy Birthday to all the minions, whether it's today, last week, or next year. That it, take it or leave it!!!!

Alex,
I cant remember all the casting dates for the blocks but IIRC its C8 C9 D0 D1 D9 E8 F2. Maybe I missed one but that should be close.
Andrew,
send pics to
STGCountryboy312@aol.com and I will determine if they are safe for the rest of the minions "tender" eyes.
Minions,
George goes rumble rumble now. Once I get all the rocker arms adjusted it get it tuned up like I want it Ill post some sound clips.

Post many many pics and go into deep deep detail.
Something I could possibly do in the future seeing that I have a 203 lying around.
