Superchips 1705 Max Micro Tuner - low price - does it deliver promised HP and torque for 7.3 99-03?

 

I have one simply because my truck came with it, I think its garbage, EGTs get out of control and it makes the tranny shift like crap. I cant wait to get some DP-Tunes.

 

Me too, the only thing it,s good for is reading codes. Firms up the shift point but like a-rod said, eratic shifting sometimes. Go with the dp, im going to when i get the money.

 

I had a SuperChip Chip in mine when I bought it. As already stated, the EGTs will climb way fast and then you are out of power. IMOP, get the DP and don't mess with the superchip. If you pay a dollar for the Superchip, it is a dollor too much.

 

The 1705 sucks .... But on the other and the Flashpaq 1805 ws a goot tuner IMO. I ran it with the Transcommand and i liked it, just wanted more . So i went with The AWSOME DP.

never had any problems with my Superchip Micro Max tuner, but I too will be joining the DP club....EVENTUALLY. Many things keep delaying it right now

 

Same question, same responses . . . . DP Tuner. Have the DP and love it. That said, I didn't have the luxury of owning a Superchip. Go with what you want, but the DP is great!!

 

My superchip has done me good so far no problems set on the tow/performance tune Im sure the DP would get me more power but eh its got good enough power for me

 

I had my superchip for 4 years and I also thought that was the cats meow. After joining this great site, I heard so much about DP so I bought one. WOW was the first thing I could say after the install. The first time I put it in 140 smoke and hit the go pedal, I backed out of it in a hurry. I thought to myself, man this big **** truck should not go this fast off the line. Now I have no problems with WOT. Still have the big grin.

I still have the superchip to read codes and hold down my paper work in my shop.

 

i don't have a DP, i came across a ts chip really cheap (bout to get Tony's tunes on it) but i used to have superchip thought it was ok, egt's are managable with the six speed, i never had a problem with it. that said the ts chip is way more power than the superchip, cant wait to find out how much better life will get with Tony'e tunes.
