I have a 351W from a 77 F-100, it came with a 2 barrel and auto trans.

I now have an edelbrock prformer and 600 cfm edelbrock carb with MSD 6a ignition.

I cannot find a spec for the timing advance for this engine, I have tried setting by ear and either get dieseling or pinging and cannot find a sweet spot.

I run mine at 14 degrees initial, 36 degrees total, it was tuned for max efficiency with an oxygen sensor and a vacuum gague. It doesn't ping, and I pump the cheap stuff (87 octane).
