Tonight I gave Big White a once - over before I head back to college tomorrow. 2 1/2 hour drive, about 120 miles. Hardly a road trip but it doesn't hurt to be safe.

Got the fuel lines, etc sorted out and made steps to get the Great White Buffalo running again.

I have a vermillion red '93 that every few years I polish it out and wax it up. Sadly, it only stays brilliant for a couple weeks before it starts chalking up again.
Within a year it has resorted back to a very faded out red with a white wash look to it.
This is a common problem with red trucks in general and seems to be worse in locales with lots of sun.

Hope your polish job lasts longer than mine do.

I have two 1995 F150s.

One truck had an oil pressure gauge that died, the other had a temperature gauge that died.

Last month I came across a craigslist ad describing a backwoods 8th and 9th gen Ford truck junk yard. Took the 60 mile drive to the junkyard and rolled the dice on a instrument cluster for $40 bucks. This weekend transplanted the relevant parts and BOOM! I have a functioning temp gauge in one truck, and a functioning oil pressure gauge in the other. So happy.

I put a new fan clutch in Old Blue over the weekend. Now I can drive with the A/C on without worrying about overheating!

It sat for almost 3 years with the camper on it in the weather of NE Oregon, and I don't think it got washed or waxed since I sold it to him 4 1/2 years ago...it was pretty bad. It stays decent looking for a few months, then I do it again. It really needs a new paint job and I will go 2 tone white on top and red lower.

Added some new speakers, nothing to fancy less than $100 for all 4. But to me, THOUSANDS dollars worth of improvement.

I'm starting to prep my truck for a road trip home to Florida. My great uncle passed away and I've got to go home to see him one last time.

Will do.

I feel like I broke my promise that I would have already moved back years ago, but instead life has kept me stuck here in SA. Nothing wrong with Texas, I've just always felt a sense of being "home" in my heart when I'm in NWFL.

Would love to stop and meet folks along the way on I-10, but I don't think time will allow for that.
