What have you done to your truck today?
driving to work yesterday my clutch pedal went to the floor and wouldn't come back up. was able to turn around and limp myself almost all the way back home. had to get drug back by my wife's chrysler aspen. (slave cylinder has been slowly leaking for a while now). go to work for the rest of the day. at the end of the day my wife comes to pick me up and bring me home to work on my truck so she doesn't have to drive me around. I had my good friend come over to help me with the work so that we could get it done in one night and be ready for tomorrow. Well, guys being guys, as we were removing everything we decided it would be a good idea to finally swap my transmission to 4x4 (since I have had everything sitting in my shed waiting to be just installed). so our little take off the transfer and swap the slave turned into a swap and upgrade. I am happy to announce I now have the 4x4 swap complete minus installing the front driveline (still in shed) it took over 2 years to get it done but all the hard stuff is over. all said and done we swapped the crossmember, trans, transfer case, and driveline out in just under 3hours
Long time, no see....Still remembered my password :p
I'm actually trying to be a part of FTE again, so here goes.
A lot of new faces, a few old ones...
Just a quick catchup:
Michelle is officially 274,000 miles old (bought her with 164,000, Feb. 2011)
A lot has changed over the years.
Lately:
-7" of drop in the rear
-Visor with running lights wired up into a strobe controller
-17"x9" Motometal wheels wrapped in Goodyear Fortera 245/65/17 tires
-added smoked cab lights
-added an Overhead Console
-added a console with a change holder in the arm rest (lighted) from a OBS center console
Before the 7" rear drop
Flipped Reese Hitch, 7" drop in the rear, etc

(Zoom in on the tailgate )
Still weighing options to drop the front. I can ride with the Cali-tucky lean though
Welcome to the site. You probably should start up your own thread, you'll get more help that way.
Good luck!
Installed new radius arm bushings. With the leveling springs (Moog CC844) I have a hard time getting enough caster in the front end. So I went with some cam style radius arm bushings, instructions say it adds 1.5 degrees caster. Truck drives better, less wander, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I've already got the rest of the alignment where I like it, with fresh tie rods, RedHead steering gear, good ball joints, adjusted wheel bearings. The extra caster is just icing on the cake.
