Giving my 96 7.3 a good refreshing as it's approaching 320k. Continuing today but I did the injector o-rings, fixed a broken stud on the exhaust manifold, new fuel pump (old one leaking) and fuel lines, cleaned up the fuel bowl, and changed the oil. Next is straight pipe exhaust, just received my TS performance 6 position switch, ball joints, and transmission filter/fluid change.

Today she's sitting clean and safe in the garage while it rains like crazy outside.. the last several days however, I got my oil analysis report back from Blackstone Labs, and gave the old girl a nice wash and wax.

Got the burned out bulbs in the gauge cluster replaced on my 96 today. Tomorrow I plan to finish up the tach wiring. Bigger projects have to wait for better weather.

well over the last couple of weeks the old girl has got 4 new shocks, all new ball joints, new exhaust, new starter and u joints. Now at 227,00 miles she drives like a new truck.Oh yeah forgot 4 new tires and front rotors and pads. All of this on a truck I bought 10 years ago for $400.00 so I figured all my parts and for less than a couple of new truck payments my baby runs like new.

Was going to change to ball joint in mine yesterday but did not have a socket or wrench bid enough to remove the lower nut

Took the F150 out for a drive to go see the sandhill cranes. Lots of roads along the platte river watching the cranes. Over 300 miles round trip.

Put new radius arm bushings in the new ride. Also tightened up the front shocks. Seems the PO had them put on and tightened them with a very small wrench. The lower bracket was splayed out and the shocks rattled to death. Once I put the 1/2" impact on them and pulled the bracket tight............No more rattle!!

Now I need to pull the drivers door panel and see what is rattling in the speaker grille.

Got all the body side moulding off the bronco, new correct plugs, new wires, new ignition coil, fixed a couple vacuum lines, new EEC Relay, new air filter, new fuel filter, new oil and filter, new pcv valve all put on.

Hopefully between today and tomorrow I can:
put new vapor canister on
new cap and rotor on
pull codes
fix a few more vacuum lines
maybe modify the seats I have for it and get them in.

On my brother's 91 F250 they got the rocker arms torqued and valve covers torqued down slowly but surely getting their on this truck.

on my other brother's 91 F150 he painted one side with rattle can black where the blue in the middle is. Ran out of time to do the other side. The truck was white and red on one side white and blue on the opposite he just wants it matching till he can afford a good paint job.

I am updating the power points and adding a new one to the console. I have two the original and another that I installed years ago. I'm putting avdedicated USB port for a cell phone holder mounted to the dash. This way Siri can be with me on long trips without using up all the battery on my phone.
The other ports are all USB as well.
Taking my time and trying to make them look like my 26 yr old truck came with these ports installed from the factory. Harder than it sounds!!! I'll post pics after I finish.
So far hardest part has been finding ports that look original. More internet trolling and I should find what I want!

last night was able to put a new PCV filter, vapor canister, cap and rotor and fix the last of the vacuum lines on the 91 Bronco. Started it up and it sounds great compared to before where it was running but misfiring, hard to start, and sounded awful.

It still needs some exhaust work, a wire soldered to the TAB/TAD and the codes pulled to get it running properly then onto interior and body work on it but those will be slow as I want to start driving it soon plus got to put some money toward the other trucks at the same time.
