did some work to the fenders I am using to make my stepside bed with. Filled in one of the gas filler doors since I only run one tank. Filled in some small marker light holes too.

Bought a XLT bench seat with the folddown armrest out of a 96 f150 for 100 bucks in excellent condition in a junkyard along with a new headliner, sun visors, carpet that goes on the back of the cab, and the guy threw in the 96 xlt dome light and cup holders. Then I put one of them leather steering wheel grips with the string on the wheel. The interior looks brand new except for the crack on the dash. The seat has power lumbar control which I'm gonna be wiring up soon. Let me tell you, that bench seat is a hell alot more comfortable than that vinly bench.

My '87 is an auto... Just take hills in second, then first, then finally use neutral as I finish stopping, to take power away from the wheels, at least when the pavement's dry. In bad weather, it's shifting all the way. It's more of a semi-automatic anyway, I have to help it shift.

but see i dont like taking hills in second. so going from 4th/5th to second is out of the question.

Finally got the TreadWright 31" MTRs mounted....after I washed all the mud off from getting stuck last night. Also fixed the tailgate handle that wasn't working, installed the radio I got off of ebay and jury-rigged a return spring for the e-brake pedal.

The XLT seat is great. Thats what my truck has. My previous F150 was a 95 XL and had the plain seat. Back in the late 90s I swapped that seat for an XLT seat.

I also have a newer dome light in my truck is much better than that 80s style one they continued using. I can't stand that light.

Contrats on getting your interior spruced up!

Install a new super coil. I would suggest a new coil to anyone with alot of miles on their truck. made a really big difference. and changed her oil.

Yeah those regular bench seats are just uncomfortable. I'm near Austin.

Don't leave the inflatable lumbar inflated when the truck is parked in the sun on warm or hot days. The bags can expand and pop.
