Put the finishing touches on the RSK. Got the new shocks in and limit straps to keep the front drive shaft from overextending. A little insurance for our dune truck.

Yes Silver Lake is our off roading destination. Spend many weekdays there in the summer. We avoid the weekends usually.

Nice, love the dunes, been there many times. Hoping to get up to that area sometime soon. I miss home.

Put some new Bilstein 4600's on the old dog. What a huge difference. Took the harshness out of the ride. Of course I think I had the stock 22 year old shocks on, so anything would have been an improvement. But happy with the ride.

Here is a good one.

U-Joint failed yesterday downtown... Get it over to the shop. Up onto the lift (haven't had the luxury yet) I knew my front tank was leaking.... Went to swap my fuel filter... The pressurized line going into the filter looked to be repaired 3 times with sleeves of hose. I was losing a significant amount of fuel.

I would have done the work myself but as I was across town with no tools. I hobbled to the nearest shop and they got to work. Ended up blowing $240 on parts + labour and a couple winter tires I spotted on the way out...

Kind sucked. But in retrospect I for once didn't have to turn a single wrench and everything still works.

Puts me up to $590 for the pickup + parts.

Attacking the drag-link and tie rods today. As it is only $65 for an alignment at a shop downtown. I can only do so much with a string line.

Fitted a set of Bosch Platinum IR Fusion Spark Plugs. Just driven it up and down the street but feels more responsive gonna put some more timing into it this week so wanted some good plugs to begin with. Already have MSD wires and cap. Also ordered a set of Pro Comp 89 series 17 X 8s.

Well...

I popped the hood to throw the charger on it, as it hasn't been started in over 6 months. I found out the driver side door handle no longer operates, so I need to reach through the vent window to open the door.

It fired right up though. Gotta get it ready for another winter!

I was getting a horrible burning smell when using my heat except on "High" setting, and since today was the first nice day in a week and a half I decided to tackle the problem. Turns out lint, leaves, and blower motor resistors don't mix well.

On a better note, girls will stop complaining that its "too cold" in the cab or "it smells bad in here" when I turn the heat on!

This caused one members truck to burn to the ground recently. RogerTPipe I think it was. Said it went from, "what's that smell?" to inferno in a couple minutes.

I'd consider myself lucky to dodge that bullet.

Looks nice. With your white truck and the black front bumper, I think the grill would look great if it was black also. JMO Sandy
