What have you done to your truck today?
Silver Lake? I used to live in Ludington, got kin all over that area,Shelby,Hart,Rothbury,etc...
Here is a good one.
U-Joint failed yesterday downtown... Get it over to the shop. Up onto the lift (haven't had the luxury yet) I knew my front tank was leaking.... Went to swap my fuel filter... The pressurized line going into the filter looked to be repaired 3 times with sleeves of hose. I was losing a significant amount of fuel.
I would have done the work myself but as I was across town with no tools. I hobbled to the nearest shop and they got to work. Ended up blowing $240 on parts + labour and a couple winter tires I spotted on the way out...
Kind sucked. But in retrospect I for once didn't have to turn a single wrench and everything still works.
Puts me up to $590 for the pickup + parts.
Attacking the drag-link and tie rods today. As it is only $65 for an alignment at a shop downtown. I can only do so much with a string line.

I was getting a horrible burning smell when using my heat except on "High" setting, and since today was the first nice day in a week and a half I decided to tackle the problem. Turns out lint, leaves, and blower motor resistors don't mix well.
On a better note, girls will stop complaining that its "too cold" in the cab or "it smells bad in here" when I turn the heat on!

I'd consider myself lucky to dodge that bullet.
