Got some good info for you folks! Starting last year I started having brake issues. My front right caliper started sticking and kept sticking. It killed my mileage and wore out the brake on that corner. I tried EVERYTHING!!! I replaced both front calipers, TWICE with the best calipers from Autozone the first time, and Napa the second (laugh now, I'm a college student on a budget). I even replaced all the rubber brake lines front and back, blew out the hard lines, and installed a new master cylinder (it did need one). After spending more than enough paychecks on it I had the SAME problem! The front right caliper kept sticking. Turns out that it was all just really, really bad luck. In addition to the stock caliper, both reman front right calipers were bad!!! Turns out that when they reman them they don't always check the pistons like they should. So, I recently bit the bullet and bought complete Motorcraft replacements (checked the pistons to make sure they were good) and all is now right in the world! I've put about 6,000 miles on the truck in the last month and the problem is completely gone! So, learn from me, and spend the extra cash for real Ford parts.

Haven't really started yet other than removing the factory pillar for testing.

Hopefully have it done in a day or two.

I was thinking of getting these. I already have a glowshift trans temp gauge installed in the dash, next to the 4x4 switch. How does the gauge pod fit on the pillar?

It mounts on top of the original. It is gonna take a little finessing to get it line up right, but it will look good when done. I'll make sure to take some picks of it for you.

I've wanted one for a while; But the ones I saw were kinda pricey and required you to drill X amount of holes to allow you to screw the cover to the OEM A Pillar trim, and then it had "Buttons" that popped into place to cover the screwheads.

Is that how yours is gonna be mounted, or?

Also, are you gonna order some paint to color match it to your interior?

Mine uses the screws. There are 4 of them that need to be installed.

I already got the right color paint and the pillar is currently drying while I run wires.

As for price, I paid $170 to my door for the three gauges, pillar and the needed wiring for install.

I'm working on cleaning up the power window and lock switches from the F-350 while watching some TV.

Just got back from my friends shop after picking up another buddies '55 F-100...

And they are done.

Last pic is to give an idea of what the gauge looks like. Already love having the oil pressure gauge as well. Now I know the engine is doing just fine with the Rotella in there. 50k miles on the motor and it still pulls 20 inches of vacuum at idle as well as holds at 23 psi oil pressure hot at idle. It goes up to just over 50 psi at cruising speed and nearly 65 psi at WOT.

That looks great, Evan! Any issues with being able to see them easily on the pillar?

Not at all. The pillar is actually a great spot for them as you just have to glance your eyes over to see them rather than focusing on something down low on the dash.
