Pulled the front axle off for the inner u-joint and pivot bushings. Left the driver's side mostly together--damn is that heavy. Also put in new radius arm bushings while it was apart.

Really transforming the old girl as far as handling goes. In the last 2 weeks: Bilstein HD shocks, all poly sway bar bushings, poly axle pivots, poly radius arm bushings, and adjusted the steering box. Ball joints are good, but tie rods are showing their age, they don't have any play but they're not stiff like new. All new springs in December and she's driving much, much better these days. Planning to build a lightweight flatbed before winter, to haul two snowmobiles and remain legal or close to it. Transfer case rebuild next weekend, yeehaw

Passenger side visor recovered

This evening I disassembled and recovered my passenger side sun visor. I even managed to reinstall the vanity mirror. I still need to run a stitch around the edge to give it the factory look but I'm too tired to do that tonight.

Today I took a trip to a pull of tire store to see a nice set of A/T's 33x12.50R15 tires for my 1993 F150 XLT 4x4.

I talked to the owner and he said he has a nice set for an amazing price. I get there, and he had beautiful tires just like he said. Only problem.. He only had three. Ive been riding on mix-match tires already. So there was no point in buying more like that. Why must people lie? Needless to say, I went home mad. And the neighbor hood got an earful of my beautiful exhaust cause my foot gains 100 pounds when Im angry. So i went home and polished the 31x10.50R15's I have on. If im gonna ride on bald mix match tires, imma sure as hell look good doing it.

Painted the grill and the headlight shrouds semi gloss black. Painted the front bumper and side view mirrors while I was at it. Gravity fed the clutch with new heavy duty fluid. Took the crappy scratched and dented chrome trim off the front fenders. Now the truck is looking tough. Soooo tough

Driver visor recovered

Driver visor is recovered and it only took 20 minutes from start to finish. Need to stitch the edges of both visors still, but then the whole headliner area will be restored. Next up is the carpet.

I've been looking at those head units. How user friendly is the bluetooth?

Pulled the rear diff cover to find that the carrier bearings are toast. Currently shopping for a Trac-Lok, carrier bearings, shims, and ring gear bolts.

Very user friendly you do the connect thing then after that. When you get in turn on Bluetooth and connect. Then when I click on a song on my phone I just click play Bluetooth that's it. Once it's connected you can select other songs albums or shuffle. Paid 119 at walmart and definitely worth it

I've got bluetooth connect on my alpine unit. It syncs automatically when I start the truck then I play my pandora and I can pause and skip from the head unit.
