Im lookin at getting a newer truck. I found one that i like and can afford. Can any of you guys tell me if this sounds like a good deal. Also is 154k miles alot for the 5.4? Anyone know about how good their manual tranny's are?

It really depends on your budget and what you want to do. The 7.3 is a better choice for the 1ton trucks in my opinion. I don't see a gear ratio, but if it's the 3.73 it will be lazy for towing. On the 5.4, I think 154k isn't bad, but your not far from a rebuild. I'd only expect 300k miles on a babied mod motor, most 4wds aren't babied.
